The Man Who Gloated That He Fought President Yar'Adua And Sent Him To His Grave Shouldn't Be Trusted – Shehu Sani

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, has indirectly criticized the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai. Sani warned against placing trust in a person who once publicly boasted of his role in the passing of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, implying that such an individual should not be relied upon by any current or future President.

In a tweet, Shehu Sani alluded to El-Rufai’s previous statement and suggested that the former Kaduna governor should not receive confirmation as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.

Sani highlighted the remark that implied El-Rufai’s involvement in Yar’adua’s challenges, indicating that no President should have faith in him. Though El-Rufai was not explicitly mentioned, it was evident that Sani’s reference was likely directed at the delay in confirming El-Rufai’s ministerial appointment.

Earlier reports had indicated that the Senate did not confirm El-Rufai and two other Ministerial nominees. While the Upper Chamber transmitted the names of approved nominees to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, El-Rufai and two others were excluded due to security considerations.
