The Court of Appeal has stated that it will deliver judgement on the presidential election petitions on Wednesday, 06/09/2023.
The petitions were filled by the presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to challenge the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election held in February by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
The press statement, signed by Chief Registrar, Umar M. Bangari, Esq., stated that the exercise would be televised live by interested stations so as to promote transparency and that only those who are accredited would be allowed to gain access into the court premises.
It went on to appeal to the general public for their maximum cooperation which would help in having a hitch free exercise on that day.
The statement reads partly, “The Court of Appeal wishes to inform the General Public that judgment in the following petitions before the Presidential Election Petition Court will be delivered on Wednesday 6th September, 2023”
