'Please Put One Eye On The Judiciary And One Eye On The Palliative Distribution' -Senator Shehu Sani

Former Senator Shehu Sani, who previously represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, called on Nigerians to split their attention between the ongoing presidential election case and the distribution of palliatives across various states. Sani emphasized that allocating attention to one matter exclusively could result in unforeseen developments occurring in the other.

He conveyed this message in a tweet from his verified Twitter account on Wednesday, particularly referencing the ₦5 billion fuel subsidy palliative fund provided to all states by the federal government.

He tweeted as seen in the screenshot below saying, “Balance your focus between the Judiciary and palliative distribution, please. When all attention is directed to one issue, unexpected events might transpire in the other.”

Notably, the federal government recently allocated ₦5 billion to every state for purchasing food items to allete the impact of fuel subsidy removal on citizens. Although certain states have initiated the distribution of these items, others are yet to follow suit. Nigerians should closely monitor the equitable sharing of these resources to ensure responsible utilization of the funds.
