Peter Obi And Abure Should Respect Appeal Court Judgment That Upheld Primary Done By Apapa – Abayomi Arabambi

Abayomi Arabambi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Lamidi Apapa faction of the Labour Party (LP), has alleged that the Court of Appeal ordered that the governorship primary election conducted by Apapa in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa should be recognized by INEC. He said Peter Obi and the embattled National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure should respect the judgment issued by the appellate court.

In an interview with TVC , Arabambi said: “We must appreciate Peter for campaigning for Lamidi Apapa because now that the court has affirmed that INEC must recognize primary conducted by Alhaji Lamidi Apapa since Abure has been restrained, it is a good thing. But the only thing I want to advise him is that we should all learn to obey the law. He is campaigning for the Labour Party and we are also campaigning for the Labour Party but the good thing is that every candidate that has gone through Abure’s primary, we just wish them well in their future endeavor because they will not be contesting November 11 governorship election”.

Speaking further, Arabambi said “We are going ahead with that November 11 election in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states with candidates produced on the 16th of April by Lamidi Apapa who is now recognized as the acting National Chairman of Labour Party until the court decides otherwise. But pending that, Abure and Peter Obi should respect the Appeal Court judgment. They should stop parading themselves and stop moving around as if they are the directors of this political. And I want to commend INEC, we made a call to them today and they said we should serve them with the certified true copies and they will effect changes on their websites for the candidates and the party”.
