Yunusa Tanko Reacts When Asked If LP Can Surpass What It Did In 2023 Election If There Is A Rerun

Spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council in the 2023 general election, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has reacted when asked if the party can repeat or surpass what it did in the last election if the possibility of a rerun happens. Recall that the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure on Monday said he got the information that the All Progressive Congress (APC) may be preparing for the possible rerun of the 2023 presidential election.

While speaking on this, Tanko was asked to reveal how confident he is that the party will surpass what it did in the 2023 presidential election if there is a rerun. Reacting, he said that many Nigerians who didn’t know about Peter Obi before the election now know about him and he is confident that they are ready to fully support the party if a rerun happens.

He said, “It may amaze you to know that majority of the facts that Nigerians don’t know before, they are knowing now. So they are rejigging themselves to fight for the Nigerian people. Nigerians are informed and getting ready in case they have the right to rekindle and reestablish their mandate. Various nooks and crannies of this country who didn’t know Peter Obi, now know him more and they are determined that he is the right person to be in that seat credibly as the president of Nigeria.”
