Tribunal: Atiku Was Making The Duty Of The Presidential Election Tribunal Difficult–Adesunbo Onitiri

According to social activist and critic Chief Adesunbo Onitiri, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the most recent general elections, was making the tasks of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal complicated. The Sun paper reported that Chief Adesunbo Onitiri made this known in a statement released to the public.

According to Independent National Electoral Commission, in order to win the top political position in the nation, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, outperformed other significant candidates like Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

The victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently being opposed in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja by the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Nigerians are currently anticipating the court’s decision after the justices have heard all of the petitions.

Reacting to the development, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri said; “Election had been held and a winner had been announced and sworn in as president. Now that the nation is awaiting the outcome of the presidential election petition against President Tinubu, Atiku should stop insulting Nigerians’ sensitivity”

He added; “Atiku (Abubakar) was making the duty of the Presidential Election Tribunal difficult and indirectly attempting to sway the public opinions against what might be the outcome of the tribunal’s decision.”
