"The Nigerian Senate Should NOT Approve Any Military Action Against Niger Republic" – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani has said that it will not be a good thing for the Senate to approve military action against the Niger Republic because of the military coup that took place in the country.

Shehu who stated this on his social media accounts called on President Bola Tinubu not to allow any foreign bodies lead him into taking military action that will instigate war.

He called on those in authority to remember what happened between Saudi in Yemen, America in Afghanistan and now Russia in Ukraine and come to the understanding war doesn’t end in days, weeks or months. countries who allow foreign bodies to push them into war.

He said, “The Nigerian Senate should NOT approve any military action against Niger Republic.This country should not be plunged into war and eventually stuck in war in the Sahel. President Tinubu shouldn’t allow himself to be misled by foreign powers. Senators should weigh the implications and consequences of their decisions, especially those senators representing states along the Niger Border.”

He equally condemned weaponising electricity supplies to Niger and called on President Tinubu to continue to explore diplomatic channels which he said would save the lives those who would receive the effect of war.
