Tribunal Judgment Wouldn’t Be The Final until the Case Gets To Supreme Court-APC Chieftain, Gololo

As Nigerians throughout the nation wait for the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which is now sitting in Abuja, Dr. Garus Gololo, a senior member of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has responded.

Remember that, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated other top candidates to win the top political position in the nation, including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory is currently being contested at the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja by the Labour Party’s Peter Obi and the People’s Democratic Party’s Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Now that the judges have heard all of the petitions, Nigerians are waiting for the court’s decision. The decision in this case is anticipated to be made tomorrow (Wednesday).

Dr. Garus Gololo was quoted in The Sun paper as saying, “Chief Bode George is a person I respect so much, both as a former military man and as a politician, but this time I can’t agree with him.” This was in response to a statement attributed to PDP Chieftain Bode George. It is apparent that some of us have rejected the actual democracy that INEC has established as the standard.

He continued by saying that his party, the APC, “would accept whatever would be the outcome of the tribunal’s judgement today.”

He added; The Supreme Court will decide the matter, therefore Nigerians and political parties should be aware that the tribunal’s decision won’t be final until then.
