Nigerians from all walks of life are waiting eagerly to witness the televised live proceedings from the Tribunal venue at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are challenging President Bola Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Presidential Poll Dispute: Obi’s Petition To Be Decided First

The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, in Abuja, has disclosed that its first judgement will be on the petition the Labour Party, LP, and its candidate, Peter Obi, filed to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s election.

The Justice Haruna Tsammani-led five member panel of the court commenced sitting around 9:30am.

The panel, which is currently taking appearances of lawyers representing all the parties, said it would skip some of the arguments that were made during the hearing stage and concentrate more on the concluding part of the judgement.

Shortly after Obi’s case was called up, the panel also gave the registrar the nod to call the petition that was filed by the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.

Ahead of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal judgement fixed for today, Wednesday, Charly Boy has vowed to carry on with his planned ‘occupy Abuja’ protest.

Judgement will be made today by the tribunal judges hearing the cases challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the 2023 Presidential Election.

Tinubu’s main challengers are Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

Charly Boy also warned the likes of Asari Dokubo, MC Oluomo, Kabaka and other political thugs to stay away to allow a peaceful protest.

“Anyhow, we must occupy all the streets of Abuja before 6am,” he wrote on X.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has directed the newly appointed Soun of Ogbomosoland, Pastor Ghandi Laoye, to hand over to a new pastor in order to face his new assignment.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State had last week approved the appointment of Laoye.

The Soun-elect is also the Pastor-in-Charge of the RCCG Jesus House Parish, Washington DC, United States of America.

He succeeds Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, who joined his ancestors in December 2021 at 95 after reigning for 48 years.

At the service last Sunday, tagged Joint Celebration, Laoye was anointed by his co-pastors alongside his successor in the parish, Pastor Olumide Ogunjuyigbe.
