'The People In FCT Were Eagerly Expecting A Change But What They Are Seeing Is Threats' – Nwekeaku

A Professor of Public Management, Charles Nwekeaku has alleged that the FCT people will be dissatisfied with Nyesom Wike’s first speech as FCT minister. He said in an interview with Arise Tv news that Wike has to be enlightened about the Abuja master plan before speaking about pulling down buildings. According to him, the political structure in the FCT is not the same with Rivers State.

He said, ”The first thing is to understand what is going on. Already there is a master plan. You are talking about pulling down the buildings but who authorized the people to build the building? So if I’m the FCT minister, the first thing I will do is to educate myself on the Abuja master plan. And then if possible, set up a small committee to further advise them on what to do. As a matter of fact, the people in FCT were eagerly expecting a government that will bring a change but what they are seeing is threats.”
