Possibility Of Wike Getting Himself And Tinubu Into Trouble With His Action Is Without Doubt – Sani

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has said that Nyesom Wike’s competence as the Minister of FCT is without doubt, as he also warned that it is possible that Wike will put himself and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into serious trouble with his actions and comments. The statement is coming from Shehu Sani a day after Wike was into office as a Minister alongside others.

In his maiden media briefing as the Minister of FCT, Wike had vowed to restore the master plan of Abuja. He said that in so doing, every structure that was built illegally in the federal capital territory will be demolished.

Daily Trust reported that Wike said – It is not going to be business as usual. Those distorting Abuja Master Plan: if you build where you are not supposed to, the building will go down.

“If you build on a green area, sorry, it will go down. Those who were allocated land and refused to develop them, we will revoke such lands and re-allocate them to those who are ready to develop them.”

He added that uncompleted buildings in FCT that have become hideouts of criminals will be reclaimed by the government, and the structures used for other meaningful purposes.

Wike’s comments had generated a lot of mixed reactions among Nigerians, with some of them saying that they hope Wike will not step on some toes with his actions.

In the post Shehu Sani shared on his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday August 22, he said – “The capacity and competence of the new FCT minister to deliver is without doubt. The possibility of getting himself and the President into serious political trouble by his utterances or actions is also without doubt. He will have to learn to walk in a minefield or be blown by it.”
