The decision of the Panel is totally unacceptable, I defeated Senator Abaribe– LP candidate, Onyeizu

According to Daily Post, Uchenna Onyeizu, the candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 Abia South Senatorial election, has filed his case at Appeal Court of Owerri, seeking to be declared the winner of the 2023 election. Onyeizu maintained that he defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abaribe, during the senatorial election.

Onyeizu also frowned at the recent decision of the election petitions tribunal which dismissed his election petition on technicalities, instead of getting to the merits of his case.

“The decision made by the Panel is unacceptable to me due to the fact I am very sure that I defeated Senator Abaribe,” Onyeizu said, while appealing to his supporters and members of the party to stay calm and wait for the final judgement of the Appeal Court.

Recall, it was reported that the LP candidate, Onyeizu caused a storm during one of the Panel’s sessions by claiming that he did not believe in the Panel, saying that the Panel was already compromised.
