Shehu Sani Reacts As Gunmen Abduct 8 Youth Corpers Travelling To Sokoto Along Zamfara Highway

In response to the kidnapping of eight youth corp members by terrorists along the highway in Zamfara state, former senator for Kaduna Central Shehu Sani posted on his verified Twitter page. 

On Saturday, several gunmen in Zamfara State, in Nigeria’s North-west geopolitical zone, reportedly kidnapped eight members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) along a highway.

Shehu Sani reacted to the news article by posting a message on his Twitter feed. 

An ex-lawmaker has made his feelings known over the terrible incident of Youth Corpers being kidnapped by terrorists along a highway in Zamfara state. 

Shehu Sani elaborated by saying that the tragedy may have been prevented if they had been aware of the risks associated with the route they were taking.

Shehu Sani, however, closed his remarks by stating the government must do everything possible to protect the victims.

Shehu Sani tweeted the following:

This tragedy may have been avoided had we been aware of the perils of the highway in Zamfara state, but alas, we must now deal with the news of the abduction of Youth Corpers by terrorists along that route. The government must take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and freedom of the victims.
