The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has replaced a ministerial nominee, Maryam Shetty, and presented two others, Festus Keyamo and Maigari Mahmud to Senate for screening.
According to Channels Television, this was disclosed in a letter read by the Senate President, Godwills Akpabio at Friday’s plenary session.
The Senate President, Godwills Akpabio revealed that the letter was sent to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu, to intimate the lawmakers of the new development.
Recall, Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was the immediate past Minister of State, Labour and Employment, and Spokesman to All Progressive Congress APC Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general election.
Meanwhile, for the past few days, the Senate has screened the first and second batches of Ministerial nominees presented by President Bola Tinubu for confirmation by the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
