Tribunal Judgement: Peter Obi Will Be Given His Clear Mandate As President Of Nigeria – Labour Party

The Labour Party has expressed confidence that its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will be given his mandate by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

The party said this as the election tribunal is set to deliver judgement on the petitions that were filed by the party and Peter Obi against the election victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the statement which was released by the spokesperson for the Lagos State Chapter of the party, Olubunmi Odusanya, the party called on the tribunal judges to deliver judgement that will favour all Nigerians, and also warned them not to succumb to fear from any quarter.

In the report which was made by the Punch on Wednesday September 6, 2023, the party said – “Nigeria is bigger than all of us and our allegiance should be to the nation, not self. The time to take back Nigeria is now. In like manner, we implore all Labour Party members and supporters and indeed all Obidients to remain optimistic that our Principal, Peter Obi, will be given his clear mandate as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (on) September 6, 2023.

“This will be a definitive move to take back our country and steer it back on the right track of greatness. It is the only leadership that will birth a new Nigeria.”

The entire country has been waiting patiently for what the verdict of the tribunal would be. The Punch reported that ahead of the tribunal judgement, heavy security was spotted around the premises of the presidential election tribunal and other parts of Abuja.
