In that meeting, everyone spoke except for me when Kwankwaso said Tinubu wanted to see him. – Buba Galadima

Alhaji Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the NNPP, recounted an incident involving Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s claim that President Bola Tinubu wished to meet him. Buba Galadima revealed that during a meeting, where everyone had their say, he was the only one who didn’t express his opinion.

Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today show with Seun Okinbaloye, Buba Galadima addressed the suspension of Kwankwaso due to alleged anti-party activities. He questioned whether the evidence of Kwankwaso’s meetings with Tinubu and Atiku, both opposition figures, indicated a breach of party loyalty.

Elaborating further, Buba Galadima shared that indeed the president had made multiple attempts to meet with Kwankwaso post-election, and their eventual meeting took place in France. He recalled the specific moment when Kwankwaso consulted the National Working Committee of the party about the president’s request to meet him. Buba Galadima explained that despite everyone else’s input, he chose to remain silent not out of non-support, but due to his awareness of the situation.

Buba Galadima pointed out that each member of the NWC advised Kwankwaso to go ahead and listen to Tinubu’s perspective. Thus, he emphasized that the situation wasn’t a case of engaging in anti-party activities.
