I Know APC Didn't Win And LP Didn't Come 3rd, As For PDP, I Don't Know Their Position – Akin Osuntokun

As the Nigerians continue to pay keen attention to the ongoing proceedings of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal currently sitting in the nation’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), prominent Southwest politician, and Labour Party chieftain, Balogun Akin Osuntokun has come out to insist that results put forward by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) does not reflect the true outcome of the February 25 polls.

Speaking during an interview on Channels TV’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ on Friday, July 14, Osuntokun, who was the Director-General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council during the run-up to the polls, alleged that as far as the true outcome of the elections was concerned, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was nowhere near the first position that was accorded to them by INEC, while the Labour Party did not in any way come third as was claimed by the electoral umpire.

Going further, the Labour Party chieftain insisted that the Peoples Democratic Party may not have been in second position as Nigerians are being made to believe.

He said; “Fraudulent results were announced by INEC. And that is why we are contesting the results in court. You are quoting a result that we never agreed with. APC didn’t come first, as for the PDP, I don’t know which position they took, but we didn’t come third. Unfortunately, I can’t reel out the results that we have because it will seem as if I am preempting the court.

But the thing is also this, INEC cannot be guilty of what everybody, both Nigerians and non-Nigerians have said about its lack of credibility, and you expect that agency to come up with credible results.”
