I Appeal To Mallam Nasir El-Rufai To Have A Rethink On His Ministerial Nomination Rejection—Sunny Moniedafe

According to reports from Premium Times on Friday, August 11, 2023, Mr. El-Rufai told President Tinubu at a meeting on Tuesday that he was no longer interested in becoming a minister but would continue to contribute his quota to the development of Nigeria as a private citizen. Reports from various new outlets also confirmed that he also told the president that he needed time to focus on his doctorate program at a university in The Netherlands.

In an exclusive interview with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television, an All Progressives Congress chieftain, Sunny Moniedafe, appealed to the politician to have a rethink on his ministerial nomination rejection.

Mr. Sunny said that “if Mallam El-Rufai has a rethink, the president of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will take him back and that the current administration needs him”.

He continued, saying that “whether we like him or not, El-Rufai is an achiever.”

The politician narrated how El-Rufai stood with President Tinubu in his bid to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, despite the fact that there were many oppositions against the Southern president.
