'Out Of 24 Years, We Have Had 13 Years Of PDP Presidents From The South' – Dele Momodu

A PDP Chieftain, Dele Momodu has claimed that the PDP has been fair to the South since the return of democracy in 1999. He cited the fact that out of 24 years of democratic rule in Nigeria, the PDP has had 13 years of Presidents from the South. According to him, it’s not logical for anyone to say that zoning is in the PDP Constitution.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”Most people don’t remember this because people deliberately try to confuse our people. PDP has been very fair to the South. PDP had President Obasanjo for eight years, PDP had President Goodluck Jonathan for five years. Out of 24 years, we have had 13 years of PDP Presidents from the South. If President Jonathan had won in 2015, that would have made it 17 years and the North did not complain. If you are not logical, you cannot be my friend. I studied Logic at the University of Ife and whatever I’m telling you must be logical. If PDP gave us an opportunity to have 17 and we got 13, how can one man now come and say it is law.”
