Ali Ndume, Senator for Borno South, has stated that the Senate will take severe measures against Senate President Godswill Akpabio over the two million naira enjoyment token.

According to DAILY POST, Ndume described Akpabio’s remarks as unworthy of an elder statesman. Ndume revealed to BBC Hausa Service that senators received two million naira. He did, however, express regret that Akpabio’s statement had caused senators embarrassment.
“All senators received N2 million,” he said. And I say this with a heavy heart since he (Akpabio) is the source of the controversy. “He made a very wrong statement, and I immediately warned him that his remarks were unbecoming of an elder.””In fact, we intend to take drastic action against him if he continues to make unguarded statements and act as if we are children.”
