By our Constitution, Emefiele is an innocent man, because of the principle of innocence-Tietie

During an interview with Arise , Arise analyst, Frank Tietie stated that, by the provision of the Nigerian Constitutional Standards, former CBN governor Godwin Emefiele is an innocent man because of the principle of presumption of innocence.

He also stated that the DSS shouldn’t have made the arrest if they weren’t ready to put Godwin Emefiele on trial and that he was deprived of his liberty.

According to him, “by our Constitutional standards, Godwin Emefiele is an innocent man. As we speak, because of the principle of presumption of innocence, anybody In Nigeria is presumed to be innocent if he is accused of committing any crime. whatsoever, it doesn’t have to be a big man like Emefiele, so this is becoming a huge embarrassment for us as a country for a new government to be superintendent over this maleficent by a law enforcement agency, for goodness sake. The Constitution states that wherever there is a court of law and anybody is accused or possibly arrested, take that person within 24 hours to a trial.
