5 Billion Palliatives: Reaction Trails Shehu Sani's Statement About How Lagos And Kano Will Share Their Money

Shehu Sani, a former legislator from Kaduna and a member of the People’s Democratic Party, responded after learning that the federal government had released N5 billion to each of the 36 states and the federal capital territory.

The announcement’s Thursday release and subsequent flurry of social media users’ remarks are no longer news.

Recall that the federal government said a few weeks ago that it will provide some monies to Nigerians in order to lessen the impact of the elimination of the gasoline subsidy.

As a consequence of the increase in the cost of products and services brought on by the elimination of the subsidy, the federal government has now granted N5 billion to all the states to help the populace.

In response, the former Kaduna lawmaker said he was curious about how Kano and Lagos state would divide the funds.
