"Tinubu Made Badaru & Matawalle, Who Know Nothing About Security, Defence Ministers" – Mahdi Shehu

In the mid hours of today, Mahdi Shehu, a political activist, was granted an interview on Arise where he reacted over the assignment of the defence ministries to former governor Badaru and former governor Bello Mattawalle.

Mahdi Shehu said, “the most interesting portfolios are the ones of my brothers, former governor Badaru and former governor Bello Mattawalle. They were both given the ministers of defense senior and junior. Ironically, these are the most insulting portfolios. They know nothing about security because they are not former security agents or former police officers. Badaru is an accountant while Mattawalle is an administrator from Zamfara state.”

Lastly, Mahdi Shehu said, “if anyone of them goes to the defence ministry, they will be assigned military assistants that they least expect. These are people who cannot even command or deploy a single army without the approval of the president.”
