Wike Can Say He's With PDP, The Idea Is To Keep Pressing The Neck Of PDP While In APC– Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu, a prominent figure within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has said that there is no room for Nyesom Wike to negotiate his return to the PDP after the role he played in the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last election. Momodu argued that Wike has already secured significant positions within the APC and has effectively aligned himself with the rival party, making a return to the PDP highly unlikely. He further expressed his belief that had he held authority within the party, he would have expelled Nyesom Wike long before this point.

In an interview with Channels TV, Dele Momodu emphasized that the reconciliation phase within the PDP has passed, and Wike’s actions have effectively crossed a point of no return. He contended that Wike’s affiliation with the APC, especially considering the valuable portfolios he has secured within the party, negates any need for him to return to the PDP. Momodu depicts the notion that Wike’s actions seem to indicate that he has moved on from the PDP and that his commitment to the APC is undeniable. He also emphasized that Wike’s influence and the positions he has garnered in the APC are more attractive than what the PDP could offer him.

Dele Momodu expressed his view that Nyesom Wike’s alignment with the APC and his accomplishments within that party make any reconciliation with the PDP unlikely, and he believes that Wike has effectively moved on from his previous party.

Hear him: “He (Wike) is already with APC, he can say anything that he’s still with the party. The idea is to keep pressing the neck of the party while he’s riding high with APC. The kind of juicy portfolios that he’s able to arrange in APC, What will he be doing in PDP? He doesn’t need PDP again, he’s gone as far as I’m concerned. But what I’m saying is that if I had the power to discipline him. I would have done that long ago even before now.”
