Weren't They Together When Our Party Hammered Them?-Bashir Ahmad Says, Reacting To Opposition Merger

A former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to the report that the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso are planning to merge, so as to be able to challenge and defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

While reacting to the said report, Bashir Ahmad demanded to know if they were not together in the year 2019, when their great party, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, hammered them blue and black and defeated them.

Bashir Ahmad made this disclosure in a tweet he made on his verified twitter handle on Monday morning, shortly after the news was heard. He wrote: “Weren’t they together in 2019 when our great party hammered them blue and black?”

Recall that it was reported earlier today that the LP’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, the PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar and the NNPP Candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso are having discussion on how to possibly form a merger, with the objective of setting up a formidable party that can effectively challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Be it as it may, Nigerians are watching to see how it will go.

As it stands now, many people are of the notion that the only way the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, could be defeated in the future elections is for these three major opposition parties, the Labour Party, the PDP and the NNPP to merge and work together. Be it as it may, Nigerians are waiting to see how it will end.
