We Won’t Tell Lies To Defend Govt – Information Minister

Minister of Information and National orientation, Muhammed Idris, has said the ministry will not need to tell lies to defend the government rather “we will always say it as it is.”

Daily trust report that, Speaking when he assumed office after his inauguration, he said the ministry and the government will be transparent and truthful while giving out information.

He declared that the administration will take responsibility for any errors or mistakes it made and make the required corrections.

Idris claimed that a key component of the government would be national orientation and that “in a matter of days we would roll out our plans to Nigerians.”   

He urged Nigerians to avoid false information and to always clarify matters before sharing them with the public, noting that the ministry would be transparent and accessible to Nigerians.

Daily trust report that, Hannatu Musawa, the minister of arts, culture, and the creative economy, asserted that the ministry will market Nigeria to the globe and generate income for the country.

She added that the ministry would make every effort to change the unfavourable perception that the nation had around the world.   Musawa pointed out that maintaining the nation’s unity, as desired by Nigeria’s founding fathers, was equally crucial
