We Lose Over N10billion Every Monday To Sit-At-Home; People Cannot Even Stay In Hotels – Enugu Gov

Sahara news reports that according to Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, the state loses more than N10 billion each Monday as a result of the sit-at-home policy imposed by a subset of the Indigenous People of Biafra in the South-East area.

At a meeting with the Presidents-General (PGs) of all the autonomous communities in the state, the governor, who made this announcement in Enugu, noted that the financial loss was a result of the economic activities that were suppressed every Monday as a result of the illegal sit-at-home order.

Mbah advised the PGs to communicate with their constituents and let them know that there was no such thing as a “sit-at-home” day, whether it be on Mondays or any other day.

It’s critical that we comprehend the link between poverty and this’sit at home’ phenomenon. When we stay at home on Mondays, we lose almost N10 billion in economic activity that could have taken place in our state, according to Mbah.

“People who would typically book a hotel room for Monday before leaving will opt not to do so. What then occurs? There is no longer any money that the hoteliers would have made.
