We Do Not Have Instant Solutions To The Country’s Problems – President Tinubu To Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has conveyed to the Nigerian populace that the economic crisis caused by the elimination of fuel subsidies cannot be instantly resolved. Nevertheless, he offered reassurance that there is a positive outcome ahead and encouraged people to exercise patience.

punch news reported that, Tinubu delivered these remarks during the launch of “Brutally Frank,” a 688-page autobiography of Chief Edwin Clark, the former Federal Commissioner for Information and a prominent figure in the South-South region of Nigeria.

Tinubu used an analogy to emphasize that Nigeria’s challenges cannot be likened to instant coffee; instead, they might resemble the pain of childbirth followed by the subsequent joy. He expressed hope that the government’s measures to allete the difficulties and distress would help allete the situation.

Represented by Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Tinubu characterized Clark as a rare and extraordinary figure, referring to him as the “Iroko of South-South” and the “Eagle of Nigeria.”

According to punch news, Akume conveyed Tinubu’s message to the gathering, stating that the nation is passing through a challenging phase in its history, likening it to the pains of labor during childbirth. He emphasized that just as the arrival of a baby brings joy after the mother’s pain, the country will eventually overcome its challenges and celebrate better times.

Akume highlighted that solutions to complex problems can’t materialize as quickly as coffee, but he expressed the belief that enduring the current hardships will lead to a brighter future. He acknowledged the impact of fuel subsidy removal and mentioned various measures being implemented, including sending fertilizers and grains to states and providing more buses. Akume stressed that citizens can endure the present challenges with the understanding that they are contributing to a better tomorrow, and he underscored the importance of hope in building great nations.
