"Was Peter Obi not running mate to Atiku in 2019, why didn't he won those 11 states" -Momodu
Dele Momodu, Nigerian journalist and PDP chieftain, asked that was Peter Obi not a running mate to Atiku Abubakar in 2019, he asked why he didn’t win those 11 states he won in the last election.
Dele Momodu asked the question in a Podcast interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Twitter space, where Seun said that if Peter Obi had joined forces with Atiku Abubakar, 11 states with the other states that Atiku Abubakar got, did he think that Tinubu would have had a chance of winning.
Dele Momodu responded that,
“You are making a mistake by thinking that if Peter Obi had joined Atiku, Peter Obi would have won those 11 states. Peter Obi won those states because the people considered him fresh. Was he not running mate to Atiku in 2019, so why didn’t he win those 11 states? It is logic, this is simple logic, I’m surprised that people just say, it is because Wike left, what did Wike record in Rivers? What did Seyi Makinde record in Oyo state for Tinubu? What did they record? What did Buruburu record in Enugu, what did the man in Abia record for Tinubu.”
He said people saying if they have not left, Atiku would have won. He said those people don’t take time to do simple arithmetic.
He said someone went for INEC and that was why everything scattered.
“A million Peter Obi could not have stopped it, A million Wike could not have stopped it. Impossible.”
