According to Channels Television, the Department of State Services (DSS) has charged the embattled suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, to court.

This was after Justice Hamza Muazu of a federal high court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the DSS to charge the embattled former CBN governor to court within one week or have him released in accordance with the constitution of the country.
Meanwhile, Emefiele had sued the DSS as well as the attorney general of the federation in a bid to enforce his fundamental human rights to freedom of movement as well as freedom of human life.
However, after the court released the order, Mr Peter Afunanya, a spokesperson of the DSS, made it clear the former CBN governor has been charged to court in compliance with the court order, and further assured the public of professionalism, justice and fairness in handling Emefiele’s case.
