Tribunal: Assuming PDP have a chance in court, it will not change my position- Wike

Nyesom Wike, Former Rivers state governor and minister for FCT, said that assuming PDP have a chance in Presidential Election Tribunal Court and they were declared, he said that won’t still change his position.

Nyesom Wike made the statement in an interview with Channels Television during the Politics Today program, when Seun Okinbaloye said that there are those who believe that if nothing had gone wrong and made some of those in the party to oppose Atiku Abubakar, being the Presidential candidate, but worked for PDP, they would have had a better chance, and that even out of the court, there is still a possibility that PDP may have a chance in court.

Nyesom Wike said,

“You are assuming, but assuming even if PDP have a chance in court, it will not change my position of equity, fairness and justice. It will not change my position. The position we said, was that the Northerner was President for 8 years, therefore South should have. It does not change, it hasn’t change. So whichever way you looked at it…but look, I’m one of the people that says, you don’t tell people that you are the only one who matters and other people don’t matter. I believe the right thing should be done at all times.
