Don't Bother About Those You've Conquered; We're Monitoring Them, & We'll Choke Them-Wike to Fubara

During the flag-off of the construction of the 50.15km Portharcourt Dual Carriage Ring Road, the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, urged Gov. Siminalayi Fubara not to bother about those people he has conquered, pointing out that they’re there monitoring them and that they’ll choke them. He urged the governor to continue to focus on the development of the state, just like he did with the Ring Road project.

He further stated that he has no work other than being a pensioneer and that he’s well prepared for it. He revealed that he’s very proud that he’s present to commission the project, even when he reasonably believes that his enemies may not be happy about it. Wike also commended the governor for starting his tenure with a huge development project worth 195.3 billion naira.

According to him, “Don’t bother about those you have conquered. When you have conquered a people, you have conquered a people. So don’t bother, people you have conquered—what do you expect them to do? Do what you’re doing; we’re here monitoring them, and we will choke them. Don’t lose any sleep. We have no work now; we are pensioners, so all we do is tell anybody looking for our trouble that we will appear and tell them that, look, we’re already the troublesome people, and we’re waiting. So, Mr. Governor, God will continue to bless you. I’m proud that we want to flag off this project, and as I’m flagging off this project, my belle dey sweet me.”
