Tribunal: Whoever Is There Is Sitting Temporarily Because The Court Can Decide Otherwise- Bafarawa

Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, the former governor of Sokoto State, stated his opinion that the tribunal will decide the results of the presidential and gubernatorial elections in 2023 in an interview with Sun paper. He said that whoever is now in charge of such positions is doing so in the interim while the panel deliberates and renders its decision. He underlined the value of waiting for the court case’s resolution and asked everyone involved to maintain their composure.

Alhaji Bafarawa asserts that the tribunals are crucial in identifying the actual election winners. He pointed out that both the President and the governors are arguing in court to maintain their election victory. Therefore, the tribunal has the final say, and anyone currently in office should be aware that their status might alter depending on how the lawsuit turns out. Alhaji Bafarawa asked all parties to wait patiently for the tribunal to issue its ruling and to be focused.
