Tribunal: We have never had this level of legal challenge in our presidential election- Sam Amadi

According to Sam Amadi, who is the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Theory, our current presidential election has never faced such a high level of legal disputes before. Speaking from his perspective as a lawyer, he highlighted this unprecedented situation.

Sam Amadi shared his thoughts on President Tinubu’s ministerial appointments during the same interview. He praised the president for selecting individuals with strong qualifications and notable accomplishments in their professional fields. For instance, he mentioned people like Wale Edun, Bosun, and Professor Pate as examples of such appointments. However, he also pointed out that some governors appointed by President Tinubu lacked integrity and competence. Sam Amadi expressed his concern that certain appointees might have made it onto the list due to their connections rather than their qualifications.

Sam Amadi went on to comment that the team assembled by President Tinubu seems to be a mix of capable individuals and those chosen for political reasons. He criticized this approach, stating that it’s inadequate for the current circumstances.

Furthermore, Sam Amadi reminded everyone of the serious legal challenges that the government is currently facing. He emphasized that, as a lawyer himself, he can confidently say that the extent of these legal challenges in this presidential election is unprecedented.

“Let’s not forget that this government is facing a very serious legal challenge. As a lawyer, I can say we have never had this kind of legal challenge ever in our presidential election.”
