Tribunal Judgement: Reactions As Tinubu's Supporters Storm PEPT Venue To Show Solidarity To Him

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) is set to deliver judgement on the petitions that were filed against the election victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.

Ahead of the tribunal judgement, supporters of President Bola Tinubu have stormed the venue of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to show solidarity to him.

In the photos which were shared by The Cable on Wednesday September 6, 2023, a group of women and children were seen outside the court premises with placards that carried various inscriptions such as – “Nigerian Women, Youths, Voted for Asiwaju,” “We Stand On Asiwaju’s Mandate,” “Asiwaju, On Your Mandate We Stand,” etc.

The development has been attracting mixed reactions from members of the public, and many have taken to the comments section to share their views on it.

While some people have applauded the actions of the women and children, some members of the opposition have accused the ruling party, APC, of renting the crowd.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the security operatives have tightened up security around the PEPT premises and parts of Abuja.
