We Won’t Tell Lies To Defend Govt – Information Minister

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris, has said the ministry will not need to tell lies to defend the government rather “we will always say it as it is.”

Speaking when he assumed office after his inauguration, he said the ministry and the government will be transparent and truthful while giving out information.

He said the government would own up where it errs or make any mistake and try to adjust where necessary.

Idris said National orientation would be a core aspect of the government, hence “in a matter of days we would roll out our plans to Nigerians.”

The minister of finance and coordinating minister for the economy, Wale Edun has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu would not turn his back on the Nigerian masses suffering the pains of the president’s reforms.

He said that the current discomfort being experienced across the country would become a thing of the past in short order.

Addressing directors of the ministry when he arrived from being inaugurated as a minister, Edun charged all staff of the ministry “to deliver and perform as expected of you”.

Bosun Tijani Assumes Duty As Minister Of Communications, Innovation And Digital Economy

The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has resumed duty hours after the inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tijani was among the 45 ministers President Tinubu swore in on Monday.

Speaking with the heads of agencies under the ministry, Tijani urged them to hit the ground running.

He pledged to come up with policies that would transform the industry.

According to him, he would build on the gains recorded so far in the ministry through effective collaboration with key stakeholders in the industry.

As Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Tijani took over from Prof. Isa Pantami.

Wike Assumes Office As FCT Minister

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesome Wike, has assumed official duties as the Minister of Federal Capital Territory with the minister of state, Mariya Mahmud.

They arrived at FCTA at about 1:20 pm after the swearing-in ceremony at the presidential villa to hold their first press conference.

Wike was accompanied by a mammoth crowd into the building of FCTA.
