Kwankwaso Absent As NNPP NEC Ratifies Expulsion Of Board Chair, 15 Others.

National leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, was conspicuously absent as his party held its National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja Tuesday afternoon to ratify the expulsion of the Chairman of Board of Trustees, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, and the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Agbo Major, and 14 others.

The NNPP has been rocked by crisis recently as its National Working Committee (NWC) dissolved seven state executive committees as well as the founder and Chairman of Board of Trustees, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam and the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Agbo Major.

NNPP suspends Kwankwaso, others.

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has suspended its candidate in the Feb. 25 presidential election, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for alleged anti-party activities.

The BoT also suspended the National Working Committee, NWC, members of the party.

Work For APC Victory In Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Polls, Ganduje Urges Traders.

National chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has urged traders to work for the party’s victory in the Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi governorship elections slated for November.

Ganduje said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working hard for the security of the country as part of efforts to create a conducive environment for economic activities to thrive.

He spoke when members of the Arewa Traders Association from the 19 northern states and the FCT, led by their chairman, Alhaji Adam Hassan Ibrahim, paid him a congratulatory visit at the APC national secretariat on Tuesday in Abuja.

Military deposes Gabon President, takes over govt.

The Gabonese President, Ali Bongo, has been deposed by the military, four days after winning the presidential election.

Soldiers were said to have appeared on Gabonese national television in Gabon to announce that they had taken power, according to BBC report.
