The National Working Committee (NWC) allegedly suspended Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, chairman of the party’s board of trustees (BoT), however state chairmen of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have refuted this claim.
In a statement that was both their chairman and the NNPP chairman in Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulSalam AbdulRasaq, expressed this stance.
AbdulRazaq called the alleged suspension of Aniebonam unwarranted and unacceptable in a statement made accessible to newsmen in Ilorin yesterday.
AbdulRazaq demanded that the party’s presidential candidate for the general elections of 2023, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, call his cronies in the NWC to order and demand an urgent reversal of the suspension order.
In the statement, it was stated that We, state chairmen of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), heard with shock and utter disbelief the alleged suspension of Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, chairman of the Board of Trustees of our wonderful party.
We view the National Working Committee (NWC) members’ actions as unwise and a slap in the face to our party’s founding principles.
