The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has approved the appointment of 15 heads of government agencies and 10 Special Advisers to assist him in the smooth and efficient running of the state.

This was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Monday.

According to the statement, 15 Heads of Agencies and 10 Special Advisers were appointed by the Governor.

Confirming the appointments in a statement Twitter, Governor Abba Yusuf noted that the appointments were in line with his administration’s resolve to ensure a more efficient government and also in fulfilment of his campaign promise to place credible and loyal people in the affairs of government.

Heavily armed men suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday night, abducted the King of Gurku community in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, HRH Jibril Mamman Waziri, alongside his wife, Hajiya Sa’adatu Waziri.

After their abduction in the palace which is located around mountains in the area, the gunmen took the First-Class Royal father and his wife to an unknown destination.

A resident of the community, who pleaded anonymity, told our Correspondent that the incident happened at about 10 pm when many other residents had gone to bed in their respective houses.

Private schools will suspend bus services, raise fees – NAPPS

The President, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Abayomi Otubela, says given the increase in the cost of fuelling, some schools would suspend bus services and parents would be advised to look for alternative means of transporting their wards to school.

Otubela spoke to our correspondent on the sidelines of the groundbreaking ceremony of NAPPS National Secretariat, Conference Centre and Apartment, in Bwari, Abuja.

Justice Daniel Osiagor of the Federal High Court in Lagos had in a December 8, 2021 judgment retrained the Minister of Interior and his privies, agents or delegates from further registering marriages contracted or celebrated under the Marriage Act, Cap. M6 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 within the plaintiffs’ Local Government Councils Area.
