in the last presidential election, the labour party and its standard bearer, peter obi, have slammed the labour party’s offer of board slots to state governors, including those elected on the opposition peoples democratic party and labour party.

Abdulrahman abdulrazaq, the governor of kwara state and chairman of the nigeria governors forum, told a meeting of the forum in abuja on tuesday night that the president had asked the governors to nominate competent people to serve in the boards and parastatals of federal government departments that were deposed last month.

Tinubu announced the dissolution of over 153 boards of directors, parastatals, institutions, and government-owned enterprises, according to the punch.

Former president muhammadu buhari’s 209 boards were among the 209 formed in december 2017. New candidates were supposed to fill up to 2,000 vacant positions on the boards.

Sanwo-olu said the literary hero is worth celebrating as one of nigeria’s foremost advocates of good governance, adding that the nobel laureate has remained one of nigeria’s pride and world exports. According to apc chieftaina saechi, he doesn’t merit the rivers ministerial seat.

Chief tony okocha, the all progressives congress in rivers state, has stated that president bola tinubu has no reason or excuse to give the state’s ministerial seat to either former minister of transportation, rotimi amaechi, or senator magnus abe, citing both men as a threat to his election in rivers state.

Okocha instead asked tinubu to select nyesom wike, the state governor who just passed rivers state, as governor. Wike, according to him, supported tinubu’s presidential ambition both financially and materially.
