Tinubu Gave The Igbos The Foremost Ministerial Position Even When We Didn’t Vote Well For Him– Umahi

Former Governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called on the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and other Igbo stakeholders to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu. He said that President Tinubu had given the Igbo community a prominent ministerial position even though they didn’t vote significantly for him in the last election.

According to Punch paper, Umahi made these remarks during a visit to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, as part of his tour to inspect federal roads in the state. He praised President Tinubu and stated that he believed Tinubu was ordained by God to lead the country.

Hear him: “I urge the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and other Igbo stakeholders, to support Tinubu. The president gave us the foremost ministerial position even when we didn’t vote well for him.”

It should be recalled that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja upheld the victory of Bola Tinubu as the President of Nigeria in the February 25 election. However, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, plans to challenge the tribunal’s decision at the Supreme Court.
