'The VC Of ABU Said His Colleagues Boasted On How They Rigged The 2023 Election' – Akin Osuntokun

Akin Osuntokun, the director general of the Obidatti campaign council, alleges that the vice chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University has backed up their assertions about the shabby handling of the 2023 election. According to his interview with Channels Tv, the ABU VC disclosed that his colleague had boasted about the mechanics of voting rigging in favour of specific political parties. Mr. Osuntokun claims that corruption in Nigeria is pervasive throughout a web of government institutions.  

”You see, what INEC represents is emblematic of what has become a systemic disaster in Nigeria,” he explained. We appear to have rogue government agencies. How do you get out of this never-ending cycle? Yesterday, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) released a statement in which he claimed that his colleagues who served as returning officers had boasted about their role in rigging the election. Where are you going to find the strength to end this vicious cycle if even Professors are capable of it?
