The 5 judges Who Will be Delivering Judgment at The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is set to announce its verdict on Wednesday, September 6 regarding the election petitions from five political parties – the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Action Peoples Party (APP), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and the Action Alliance (AA) – contesting the victory of Bola Tinubu in the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

According to a report by The Nation, The five-judge panel, led by presiding justice Justice Haruna Tsammani, will convene to discuss and potentially vote on the outcome, should any disagreements arise during the trial. It’s important to note that this decision is not final, as dissatisfied parties can still appeal to the Supreme Court.

The judges overseeing the tribunal include:

• Justice Haruna Tsammani – Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal

• Justice Stephen Adah – Court of Appeal (Asaba division)

• Justice Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf – Court of Appeal (Asaba Division)

• Justice Moses Ugo – Kano division

• Justice Abba Mohammed – Ibadan Court of Appeal.
