Removal Of Petrol Subsidy: Tinubu's Govt Means Well For Nigeria, First Lady Assures Nigerians

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has the country’s best interests in mind, despite the economic challenges arising from the removal of petrol subsidy.

The First Lady urged Nigerians to envision a brighter future beyond the current circumstances and to remain hopeful for better times ahead.

She made these remarks during a meeting with the spouses of the Inspector General of Police and the Service Chiefs. The delegation was led by Mrs. Oghogho Musa, the wife of the Chief of Defence Staff and President of the Defence and Police Wives Association.

The First Lady emphasized that President Tinubu’s government is actively working to minimize the impact of the fuel subsidy removal. She expressed confidence that Nigerians will experience the benefits of these efforts as the policy’s positive outcomes become evident.

Senator Tinubu also mentioned her initiative, the Renewed Hope Initiative, which is collaborating with the federal government in addressing this matter. This partnership is why she’s seeking the support of the wives of the Service Chiefs.
