They also expressed their support for the governor’s commitment to an “all-inclusive” government.

Chief Valentine Oparaocha, Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Niger State chapter, shared his thoughts on this matter during an interview in Minna on Thursday.

According to Oparaocha, the presence of at least one Igbo individual in Bago’s cabinet is crucial since Igbo people are involved in various economic activities and markets across the state.

“Igbo people have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and significantly contribute to Niger State’s growth and development, especially in generating revenue,” he said. “We firmly believe that including us in the cabinet is a reasonable request, considering our dedication to the state’s progress.”

He mentioned that their support for Bago was influenced by George Dike, their fellow community member, who assured them of the governor’s sincerity in helping the Igbo community.

Oparaocha emphasized that Igbo youths have consistently supported Bago in Niger State and are hopeful that the governor will involve them in the security and state executive councils, similar to practices in some other states.
