Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, in a statement with pressmen that was also captured by Channels Television on their official website today, revealed he did not procure a N300 million armored Lexus car on assumption of office.
It was reported that Wike made this statement after his tour of the Abuja Light Rail.
The former governor of Rivers State claimed he hasn’t even had a meeting with representatives of the FCT administration, let alone authorized a car for himself.

I want everyone to go over there and slam their hand on the car to see if it’s been treated or not. With all due respect, people should be careful not to hurt other people.
When I came, the Permanent Secretary informed me that they had a car waiting for us; now I can see it. I have never given the go-ahead to buy a car, and I have never operated a bulletproof car.
“If I have automobiles, will I be governor? Yes, what authority do you believe I should have as governor? However, I don’t drive a bulletproof car for the FCT; therefore, we should be honest and refrain from doing harm to ourselves.
