Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a Nigerian-born retired civil servant and politician who is the spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has made a tweet on his official Twitter handle reacting to the eight-point agenda of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and urging him to focus on just one.
Recall that Tinubu’s eight-point agenda includes food security, ending poverty, economic growth and job creation, access to capital, inclusivity, improving security, the rule of law, and fighting corruption.
The statement of Dr. Hakeem read, “President Tinubu should collapse his eight-point agenda into one: food security. Only those who feed well and are isolated think there is a problem worse or more demanding of a solution than this. Solve food security, and you are secure now. The future does not exist without it”.
