"President Tinubu Has Done A Lot Of Things We Consider Serious Mistakes In Under 100 Days" -Segun Sowunmi

Segun Sowunmi, a member of the People’s Democratic Party has come out to say that the new administration of President Tinubu have done a lot of things that can be considered serious missteps in under 100 days in charge.

According to Sowunmi who appeared in an interview on Channels television program, Politics tonight, one of such mistakes is coming in public to say that the fuel subsidy will be removed without considering the knock-on effects of it.

In his own words as seen on Channels television tonight…

“The President Tinubu administration have done a lot of things that could be considered serious missteps in under 100 days in charge and they’ve done them in a brazen and hurried manner that people are now forced to say no. And I will give an example; you cannot come to public space on the day you are Inaugurated and say you are removing subsidy without thinking of the knock-on effect. Once you’ve done that and you starting thinking of what to do, that’s not a way to really govern.”

“You cannot come and say you are floating the naira and the naira lower to the dollar’s valuation and all that, that’s not how it’s valued in the banks. So the arbitrage they are trying to run away from, they are still stuck in it. You cannot come into public space and say that your business in government is to make sure that you can tax the people more, you can burden the people more, you can shift the responsibility of government to figure out who are those people that mismanaged our subsidy regime and all that you are basically pampering your friends.”
