PEPT Judgement: Are the judges the defence counsels of APC and INEC?’ – Dr Chukwujekwu Reacts

Mixed reactions has been trailing the recent Judgement delivered on Wednesday by the presidential election petition tribunal that sat in Abuja.

It would be recalled that the five-man judges struck out all the petitions brought by Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic, and APM candidate challenging the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of February 25th election.

Reacting over the development, the Global Coordinator of Rescue Nigeria, Dr Michael Chukwujekwu, said in a statement on Thursday in Asaba that the action of the judges had put democracy in Nigeria under serious threat.

Speaking to Punch paper, Chukwujekwu said the Judgement was biased.

He further asked if the judges are counsel of the respondents.

Hear him “The body language, mannerisms, expressions, choice of words, and accusations of the petitioners left nothing to wonder. ‘Are the judges the defence counsels of APC and INEC?’” Punch paper quoted Chukwujekwu as saying.
