The immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has insisted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Labour Party (LP), do not have any case against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; as he maintained that the parties have been deceiving the public that there petitions have merit, whereas they have always known that they have no case to win.
Nyesom Wike had said, “They (PDP and LP) don’t have any case, i can tell you authoritatively.”

The FCT Minister, who spoke during an interview with Channels Television, faulted the PDP and the LP for purportedly deceiving the public, as he maintained that it would be difficult to prove that there were irregularities during the conduct of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election. According to him, the PDP had alleged that there was snatching of ballot boxes in some polling units across the country, but was unable to prove that it did happen. He said judgement would be based on what the agents of the party have to say about the conduct of elections in polling units and not the witness account of some individuals who were at the collation centre.
The FCT Minister gloated over the declaration of President Tinubu as the authentic winner of the election by the Tribunal. He went further to reveal reasons why the main opposition party and the LP should not continue to challenge the decision of the Tribunal.
